A charity bazaar organized by the Çalış Children’s Charity was successfully carried out with the support of System and Generation Association ESC volunteers in cooperation with FETAV.
During the event, volunteers contributed by distributing table numbers, assisting with sales, and interviewing guests attending the bazaar. Through their active participation, they helped strengthen connections within the British community in Fethiye while supporting local social solidarity projects.
After the event, Italian volunteer Giacomo shared his impressions about the charity campaign:
“I have never seen such a different and meaningful charity campaign before. Here, people support students from Fethiye who study outside the city, provide clothing assistance for students with limited opportunities, and help homeless people by taking care of their own community. This is truly impressive. I have been to many countries, but I have never encountered something like this anywhere else.”
Following the bazaar, the volunteers attended the Rhythm Class organized at FETAV. Under the guidance of famous Turkish rhythm artist Metin Şeyda, they had the opportunity to become familiar with traditional percussion instruments such as drums, daf, darbuka, and bendir, while also learning basic playing techniques.
