Dates: 05-10 December, 2024 - Venue: Ankara - Türkiye.
In Ankara, youth workers from all over the world came together for an exciting training program focused on New Generation Leadership Skills. The goal? To help participants grow as leaders in their own lives and inspire young people back home. This wasn’t just theory – it was hands-on!
Activities implemented: The training course combined theory and practice within formal and non-formal learning sessions that guided participants to apply their leadership skills in real-life situations and, at the same time, offered them to interact with people from around the world. Through individual reflections, group discussions, debates, field work, and hands-on leadership activities, youth workers gained a deeper understanding of themselves, their potential as youth leaders, and enhanced their leadership capabilities. By the end of the training, participants were equipped with concrete tools and techniques for use in their future work with young people and/or in the role as a leader.
Through interactive workshops, group debates, field activities, and creative projects, participants learned how to:
- Think strategically and make smart decisions
- Adapt to change and lead with innovation
- Understand cultural differences in leadership
- Inspire and connect with youth in meaningful ways
By the end of the course, everyone left with practical tools and fresh ideas to use in future projects.
The concrete results of the training course were:
- 150 trees planted in Ankara
- Flower ceremony at Anıtkabir
- Short film of the training shared online
