Dates: 10-16 June 2025 - Venue/Country: Primorsko, Bulgaria
Activities Implemented:
The program combines thematic sustainability clusters with hands-on learning through eco-workshops, upcycling, and community engagement activities. Participants co-create small sustainability projects for youth centres and share cultural practices through storytelling and cultural exchanges through Global Village Nights and cultural passports for participants. Outdoor experiential activities and site visits provide real-world insights ( Primorsko’s municipality, PRIMORSKO – KITEN A wastewater treatment plant, museum visit LINK …) while a sustainability hackathon encourages innovative solutions. Daily reflection sessions support personal and professional learning, complemented by blended learning through online resources for continued collaboration.
Results:
The seminar delivered clear learning, organisational, and community-level results aligned with our accreditation objectives and Activity Plan. Youth workers strengthened their competencies in integrating green practices into youth work, including conscious consumption, resource management, circular economy, and community engagement. Practical tools such as sustainability audits, resource mapping, and co-created micro-projects increased their capacity to develop greener youth centres.
At the organisational level, the seminar reinforced cooperation among partner organisations and improved the design and delivery of environmentally responsible activities using non-formal and participatory methods. At the community level, study visits and awareness actions enhanced understanding of real-life sustainability challenges.
Results are sustained through follow-up actions, Youthpass recognition, dissemination within youth centres and networks, and the transfer of developed tools into local practice, supporting long-term environmental responsibility in youth work.
