International Volunteers Bring Fun Learning Experience to Children in Fethiye European Solidarity Corps (ESC) team volunteers from Azerbaijan, Spain, and Italy, together with local volunteers in Fethiye, successfully facilitated English, Mathematics, and Drama classes for children at FETAV. As part of the interactive English lesson, children and international volunteers engaged in a lively language exchange. While the children asked questions in Turkish, the foreign volunteers responded and asked questions in English, helping both sides improve their language skills. After the lessons, the children played games with the volunteer teachers and expressed how much they enjoyed the activities and how much they liked the volunteers. The event stood out as both an educational and culturally enriching experience. Additionally, the activity had a very positive impact on the children. Experiencing their lessons in a different and interactive format, as well as playing games with the volunteers during breaks, created meaningful memories and valuable learning experiences for them. Parents of the children also shared positive feedback, expressing that having regular classes with international volunteers would be highly beneficial for their children. They emphasized that such activities reflect European-standard and effective teaching methods, while also helping children improve their communication skills and cultural awareness.
