VOLUNTEERING IN JASAN
We are a Montessori elementary school in Nedvědice under ZaHRAda elementary school in Tišnov. The founder is club Hnízdo which is the patron of several else projects – Free School Colibri, Montessori forest kindergarten Ledňáček, Forest kindergarten Kalužníček.Jasan arose from the homeschooling children group. Due to concern about the innovative education in Nedvědice and the surroundings, this children's group became part of Elementary school Zahrada as a separate workplace. Our establishment rents a former pension containing three floors. We are currently using just the ground floor for educational purposes.There is a conversion plan for the second floor which aim is to establish also the second grade of the school. The third floor is in these days rebuilding into a school flat. Currently, we possess two classrooms, a cafeteria, a staff office, changing room and a garden.Our school is attended by children from 1st to 5th grade (6 to 11 years) and the capacity is 22 pupils. This diverse group allows us to teach across the years of study. Everyone can choose their speed of learning according to individual needs. Children teach from each other, inspires, motivate a collaborate.
ROLE OF VOLUNTEER
• Bring in whatever interests / hobbies / sports they have
• In discussion with the guides, they can agree on the
schedule and activities
• Communication in foreign languages
• Create deep relationships with the children
• Can organize various events for the children but also for the community
• Help in preparation of materials
• Spread their culture
