What We Offer Volunteers
Accommodation & Financials: Volunteers will live in the Youth Center in a region of Perama (Ioannina). Each volunteer will have their own bedroom. All daily meals will be fully provided by the project. You will receive 7€ per day in pocket money by a bank transfer. Your travel costs will be covered up to the limits of the European Commission based on the travel distance.
Training & Support: You will be supported by mentors and participate in workshops and training on topics like on-arrival, teamwork, sustainability, and conflicts. Greek lessons will also be provided.
Tasks
Your main activities will involve supporting the social integration and well-being of refugees. Key tasks include:
* Assisting refugee boys aged 13-18 in our two centers in Ioannina.
* Offering educational support, recreational activities, and mentoring.
* Running workshops on creative expression, cultural exchange, social dialogue, rights, and the environment.
* Leading language learning, games, movies, and outdoor activities.
* Supporting NGO promotion through social media, websites, and articles.
* Organizing and participating in workshops and awareness events.
Volunteer Profile
We are specifically seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
* Age: 18-30 years old.
* Languages: Basic English is required.
* Residency: You must legally live in one of the participating European or EU-Partner countries.
* Experience: No prior experience or special skills are required. Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are what really count.
* Mindset: You should be ready to thrive in a multicultural environment, open-minded, positive, and motivated to promote solidarity.
* Skills: Flexible, imaginative, and full of ideas. Friendly, communicative, and sociable.
