I participated in the project in Kyoneri, Greece, from Sinop province of Turkey. I work as a psychological counselor in Turkey. I am doing my master's degree at the same time. The project was a one-month volunteer project. The long duration and the fact that I would be the only Turk worried me. I had a long journey from Sinop to Istanbul, from Istanbul to Athens by plane, and from Athens to my own city. When I arrived at our accommodation, all the participants from Italy, Finland, Australia, Spain and Germany had arrived. We held introductory events in the first two days. My friends were very friendly and helpful. The project coordinators were very polite and guiding. I spent a wonderful month learning about Greek culture and learning about the music and dances of their country from my friends.
