The More Than One Story game was played in the Healthy Mind part of the project.
Participants' opinions about the game:
Ayçelen: I fortunately got the “one thing you are grateful about” card, and as I was sharing the moments, I relived the moments and felt the same joy once again. When sharing these experiences with the new friends I made all across Europe, I could sense the atmosphere created by our shared enthusiasm and joy.
As the game continued, we broke down all the walls between us and recreated them as bridges.
Kerem:One of the arrangements that I particularly liked about this project that I participated in, is that it is a project that supports making new cultures and new friends by ensuring that cultural interaction is quickly spread by sharing the rooms among the participants from all countries. Since we stayed in a settlement intertwined with nature, we went on nature walks and ice walks with other participants. Finland's fertile natural structure was used with activities such as fishing and sleigh riding. Although we measured how much information we learned about other cultures with the kahoot game in the cultural nights, I observed that all participants enjoyed playing the card game played by the Turkish team. It was an excellent project, every stage of which was planned in detail, and an excellent experience.
Nas:
We played “More Than One Story” at Villa Elba. We got the chance to know each other better and everyone felt comfortable. I got a interesting question which was I was going to mention a thing that I felt greatfull. I talked about my family, friends, life. I felt at peace while talking about that things.
When I first heard about the project I instantly felt that I had to be a part of it. When I came here I fell in love with the place; it was peaceful, safe and beautiful to look at. I made new friends and heard different kinds of stories from all around the Europe. I fell fulfilled. I can’t wait to come back.
Elif: It was a game that increased the quality of communication by allowing people who did not know each other very well to have a quality and pleasant conversation. For example, I was asked a question about my childhood memories. In this way, I learned how my childhood was different from other countries, our childhood experiences in other countries, people's feelings and thoughts.
It was a very nice experience for my life abroad. It gave me the chance to meet new people, socialize and see different cultures. I had a very good week. The nature, food, staff and environment were perfect. It was one of the perfect things I experienced.
Sanem: While playing the game 'More than one story' my friends and I shared multiple stories, which fostered both cultural and personal bonds among us. This was largely due to the focus of the cards on our memories and experiences in our countries. These conversations were truly remarkable, as everyone in each group found something to say to each other's story, allowing us to learn more about each other. The natural surroundings of Finland, particularly at Villa Elba, provided the perfect backdrop for our experiences. Whether walking through the forest, sledding on the ice, or simply enjoying the weather, I had an amazing time with my friends. I met some incredible people during our time there, and we even made plans to stay in touch. Overall, combining the beauty of nature, the opportunities at Villa Elba, and the meaningful interactions and friendships I formed.
Baturay: My card was telling me to ask a question of my own choosing to my group. So I asked them (what is the meaning of life for you?) They all answered respectfully, different answers, different goals, great plans for themselves. This card game was really great for interacting with each other.
