Located next to the Forest of Dean, ASHA Centre is a place dedicated to well-being in which many trainings about youth workers and tools take place. Our training course, The Empowered Speaker was one of them. The training was mostly about how to feel empowered. In order to be the best of our own selves, we discovered that we need to feel connected to our body and mind. To be an empowered speaker and to learn how to use and connect to our voices, we first needed to discover our voices. That is why we had many sessions with our voices and bodies. We created a bond with our bodies, minds, and voices as well as each other. These sessions were mostly held in the beautiful garden of ASHA where we were surrounded by the unique trees of Asha with the peaceful forest beside us. We learned how to connect to nature, how to give, take, create an even surrounding and be fearless. All these sessions, discussions, connections, and our journey as a whole made each and every participant a different person from before. We all felt empowered enough to put out a show in the end.

The project was more than I expected. As a teacher my expectation was to get more ideas about how to speak in front of people, use speech more and attentively and feeling the freedom and power while speaking. So the techniques I learned during the training course are very helpful so I can use them and teach them to my students especially the ones who are afraid of speaking or the ones who have great voice but do not know how to use it. I’m very grateful to Freny and Andri for organizing such a great training course, atmosphere, and for the participants they selected for the training course. I’m happy for meeting great and talented people from Europe. The venue was also an amazing place and definitely suitable for the training course. Being away from the society and be in the nature helped me to feel well and get great motivation for the next training courses. I’m also thankful to System Generation as you were with us from the beginning and let us have such a great and fruitful experience. Thank you!

My expectations were quite high when I went to my The Empowered Speaker training at ASHA Center. I was very excited when I saw the place where the project will be done. It was a wonderful view, a relaxing environment. When we arrived at the site for the project, they received us wonderfully and took us by car to our accommodation, the "ASHA Centre". Staff and environment made us feel very welcome. When the project started, I saw that it really exceeded my expectations. The quality of the trainers and the content of the trainings were truly incredible. The cooks working there were professionals and prepared great food. Everyone who was there helped us when we had a question. In short, I left behind a great education. We had a great time with a wonderful team in a perfect nature. I would like to thank the System and Generation Association, which was with me in my participation in this project.
