Hi guys!
I'm Silvia and I'm a young Italian of 27 years old.
What do I do in life and what am I doing here?
Well I just left my job to pursue my personal project as a volunteer and report in different countries around the world.
Why?
Because I believe that volunteering is a "beautiful place" where you can learn, get involved, get to know yourself and others. A place where you create and learn empathy, which I believe is the most important aspect of a person.
Education and activism are my strengths. And I would like to understand how these phenomena are viewed in different parts of the world.
Is lending a hand, contaminating oneself beautiful things or not?
Volunteering is a state of mind: a thousand sensations and a million lessons to be learned.
I love nature, trekking, travel. I'm a curious person and I love taking photos and videos.
I study educational sciences and in Italy I have worked for many years with children and adolescents in difficulty or with various discomforts.
My first volunteer experience was when I was 21 years old in Brazil, inside the favelas with girls and teenagers who were victims of violence.
The last one was in Tanzania, in a family house for orphaned children.
What do others say about me?
It's hard to understand how I'm made at the beginning: I tend to observe and stay on my own but when I open up "I give my soul, heart and body."
Thanks to #SystemandGeneration for giving me the opportunity to get involved in activities that are usually not common for me, to give me the opportunity and the help to improve my English. To live and compare myself with other young people who, like me, dream of a better world and able to give them millions of stimuli to be able to find, one day, our place in the world.
