Gabriele? That Gabriele? Yes, that Gabriele.
Probably many of you know who I am, but for the others I introduce myself.
I'm Gabriele, I'm 28 years old and I'm from Turin, a really wonderful city in the north of Italy.
One year ago I came to Turkey, with S&G for my EVS project. In the beginning I had to stay just 4 months, after I had the opportunity to make it longer and it became 10 months and after... after that I have never left.
One week after my arrival in Ankara, I started to feel at home. I found here the place where I feel good and that for the moment I want to continue to be my home.
So much has changed in my life in one year. And I, too, can say that I am no longer the same.
Volunteering has undoubtedly been an experience that has helped me tremendously in my personal development.
I sincerely thank System and Generation for this new opportunity to be again a volunteer for 2 months.
I'm really happy and excited!
Being a volunteer for me is like sharing a piece of bread. If I ate it alone, yes, I would have fed myself, but in my opinion it is in sharing and mutual help that we can find the deep meaning of being human.
I am a dreamer. I wish for a fairer world, a world where every human being has the same opportunities and rights.
I firmly believe that our role as citizens of this world is to give our contribution to make it a more peaceful place for all. Let's do it all together, it will be easier.
See you soon! :)
