Hello world!
My name is Nico and Romania is my home country, but through travelling and volunteering I feel like I can truly say that anywhere I go is home. Freshly graduated the university of Economics I decided to take a break from studies and focus on these passions.
So, right before starting my master’s in Denmark, I chose Ankara for the next couple months for my short-term volunteering.
If it was a phrase that I could use to guide myself through life is “Go for it!”. Otherwise how could you live such wonderful experiences and get to experience the world, in a broader perspective? For me, volunteering was really helpful in gaining a new way of enjoying the countries I visit. Engaging, but also helping organising various activities for the local community, can get you to a very rewarding feeling.
So far, I had the luck of arriving here while the restrictions are still active, but nonetheless the city seemed welcoming. I already got to see some of the beautiful attractions around.
