My two-month ESC experience at Larca Farm in Italy was one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of my life. During this project, I had the opportunity to live and work in a rural environment, surrounded by nature and people from different cultural backgrounds.

As the only participant from Türkiye, I learned how to adapt to an international environment, communicate across cultural differences, and build strong connections with people from various countries. Living and working together every day taught me the importance of teamwork, patience, flexibility, and mutual respect.

Throughout the project, I took part in a variety of activities related to farm life and sustainable living. I contributed to daily tasks, learned about environmental awareness, and experienced a lifestyle that was much closer to nature than my everyday life back home. Working outdoors and being involved in practical activities helped me develop responsibility, resilience, and a greater appreciation for the effort behind food production.

Beyond the farm work, I participated in many creative and educational workshops. I especially enjoyed activities such as pottery, bracelet making, basket weaving, henna workshops, and meditation in nature. These experiences introduced me to new hobbies, encouraged creativity, and allowed me to slow down and appreciate the present moment.

One of the most valuable aspects of the project was cultural exchange. By sharing stories, traditions, and everyday experiences with people from different countries, I gained a deeper understanding of both other cultures and my own. I also had the chance to experience Italian culture firsthand, from its lifestyle and traditions to its approach to community and work-life balance.

This project helped me become more independent, open-minded, and confident. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, improved my communication skills, and showed me that personal growth often happens when we are willing to embrace new challenges.

I return home with unforgettable memories, new friendships, valuable skills, and a renewed appreciation for nature, community, and cultural diversity. Larca Farm will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am deeply grateful for everything I learned and everyone I met during this journey.
