The Youth Spirit in Daruvar: Our Volunteers' Journey of Sustainability and Solidarity
ESC Volunteers met the team of Impress in Daruvar

Throughout the project, the volunteers actively contributed to the local community of Daruvar through activities focused on sustainability, social inclusion, and intercultural exchange. By working closely with local organizations, schools, and community members, the team became an integral part of the city's social and environmental initiatives.

One of the key areas of involvement was supporting the OpenWardrope initiative, which promotes sustainable consumption, reuse, and environmental responsibility. Through awareness raising activities and community engagement, the volunteers encouraged more sustainable lifestyle choices and highlighted the importance of reducing waste.

The team also organized and participated in visits to different kindergartens and elderly care homes, where they conducted creative workshops, educational activities, and intercultural exchange sessions. These visits created meaningful connections between generations, encouraged social inclusion, and provided opportunities for cultural sharing and mutual learning.

As active members of the Daruvar community, the volunteers took part in environmental actions aimed at improving the city's cleanliness and sustainability. They contributed to recycling initiatives, community clean up activities, and projects promoting environmental awareness among local residents. Through these efforts, the team helped support Daruvar's commitment to a cleaner and more environmentally conscious future.

In addition, the volunteers developed and delivered workshops for young people, promoted European youth opportunities, and participated in community events that strengthened solidarity, diversity, and active citizenship. Their work fostered cooperation between local and international participants while creating a positive and lasting impact on the community.

Through their dedication, teamwork, and active participation, the volunteers contributed to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and connected society in Daruvar.
