Throughout the Fly Me Away project, I gained so much information about being a youth worker and the background process of Erasmus+ projects as the team leader of the Turkish Team. We helped to develop the timeline and to create new workshop ideas for the youth exchanges that will take place in Italy and Bulgaria. In addition of the project being delightfully insightful, it was also so much fun thanks to our great facilitators and organizers. We also had the opportunity to visit the best touristic places in Paris and Chatillion. I am so glad for being a part of this project and meeting with all these amazing people.

I participated in the first phase of the “Fly Me Away” Training Course, which took place in Châtillon-sur-Indre, France, in order to develop myself as a youth worker and to train myself to take on a more active role as a youth leader in the future. Organized within the framework of Erasmus+, this program gave me the opportunity to meet participants from different countries and gain intercultural learning experience. Through various workshops and interactive activities, we learned how to design projects, create project timelines, and make Erasmus+ projects more effective and sustainable. This experience contributed significantly to both my personal development and my professional growth in the field of youth work.

I have always been an eager participant in Erasmus projects, but I had never breached the barrier between participant and youth worker. I wanted to contribute to these projects that had helped and changed me so much, and thats why I applied for this training course. Throughout this project I learnt new skills and extended the ones I already had. I learned how to be a compassionate and active listener. I had the chance to discover more about Erasmus projects and how they are made. And most importantly I found out that collaboration between passionate people is what makes projects special.
