I joined the youth exchange project in Tunisia as a participant, and it quickly became one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had. Even though I was there simply as a participant, I gained so much new friendships, good memories, and countless smiles that I will never forget. Throughout the project, we explored and compared healthcare systems in Tunisia, Slovenia, and Türkiye. It was eye-opening to see how different structures, cultures, and approaches shape the way healthcare works in each country. Discussing these differences with young people from various backgrounds helped me understand how important communication, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity are in healthcare. Our cultural night was definitely one of the highlights. Experiencing Tunisian and Slovenian traditions together reminded me how powerful collaboration can be. Each person brought something unique, and together we created an atmosphere full of learning, fun, and solidarity. Overall, this project gave me new perspectives, new friendships, and unforgettable moments both personal and professional. I’m really grateful for the entire experience.

I joined this Youth Exchange because I wanted to explore how cultural differences influence healthcare practices and to learn from people with diverse backgrounds. From the moment we arrived, the kindness and openness of the group made it easy to connect and participate. One of the most memorable moments for me was the incredible Turkish night we organized. Our team worked together flawlessly—preparing food, sharing traditions, and creating an engaging program that allowed everyone to experience a piece of our culture. Seeing how participants from other countries embraced it with genuine curiosity and joy made the evening truly special.
During this project, I understood the importance of empathy, respect, and cultural understanding in any environment, especially in healthcare. The way people listened to one another without judgment, and how naturally everyone supported each other, created a unique learning atmosphere. The sweetness and kindness of the participants reminded me how powerful human connection can be when we approach each other with sincerity. This Youth Exchange strengthened my appreciation for teamwork, cultural diversity, and the shared values that bring people together no matter where they come from.

As a healthcare professional who embraces and values balanced mental health, well-being and healthy habits, I've always strived to maintain balance throughout my life.
I was selected for the project after an interview, having learned about it when Mr. Gürkan shared the application form with me.
Throughout the process, the group work, topics, and research topics were topics I was already interested in and openly discussed in my daily life due to my academic interests. This made me feel like I belonged, was in the right place, and could contribute more. I've accumulated many positive moments throughout this program, and I've also realized that I sometimes oversimplified and treated myself harshly, even though I've worked hard to develop my own healthy practices carefully and rightly.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who was involved, worked hard, tried to do their best and approached with respect.
Thank you for the opportunity and support.
With warm regards,

I became involved in coordinating the Erasmus project “Physical and Mental Health Across Cultures”, which was held in Tunisia, After my leader entrusted me with this important responsibility, I felt both honored and motivated to deliver my best. Although I had facilitated activities abroad, this was my first time coordinating a project locally as a Tunisian. Leading this program on my home ground gave the experience a deeper meaning: I was not only managing the logistics and sessions, but also representing my country, its culture, and our spirit of hospitality. Throughout the project, I learned to work with diverse teams, support participants from different backgrounds, and respond calmly to unexpected challenges. I also realized how meaningful it is to welcome international youth to Tunisia and show them our traditions, environment, and daily realities while exploring health from a cross-cultural perspective. This experience strengthened my confidence, improved my leadership and communication skills, and helped me internalize the importance of cultural understanding, responsibility, and emotional resilience in youth work.

I was able to join the project thanks to Mr. Gürkan through winning a school competition held at Egebil, which gave me the opportunity to be part of this cultural, mental, and physical health exchange.
Throughout the exchange, I gained valuable insights not only about the main topic of the project but also about myself. I learned to communicate better, collaborate respectfully in diverse teams, and appreciate different perspectives that enriched every activity. The sessions, workshops, and shared experiences helped me grow personally and socially. I internalized the importance of active participation, intercultural understanding, and the impact of youth driven initiatives in building stronger communities. This project motivated me to try and engage in future international programs.
So thank you for everyone for making this one of the most amazing week of my life. I will never forget the experience and knowledge I have gained from all of you.
Hope you guys enjoyed your time with me as much as i enjoyed it with you.

I participated in the youth exchange project in Tunisia as an S&G member on behalf of the System and Generation Association. I played an active role in both the selection process from Turkey and the coordination throughout the project. I ensured that everyone contributed to the proper guidance of the team, ensuring logistical capacity, and ensuring the smooth running of the process. I ensured that the team was strong before starting the project, and I felt we achieved this quickly.
During this week, I had the opportunity to thoroughly explore both Slovenian and Tunisian cultures. The cultural night we organized was a particularly wonderful experience; I truly grasped the power of collaborative production, the development of diverse cultures, and the solidarity of young people. During the project, I gained new perspectives on mental health and once again realized the importance of knowledge for young people on this topic. It was a wonderful and wonderful week, both professionally and personally.
