From September 30 to October 4, 2025, three young representatives from System & Generation (S&G) took part in the “Power to Participate!” seminar held at Youth Centre Villa Elba in Kokkola, Finland.
 
The seminar, hosted by Villa Elba and supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education, brought together youth workers and professionals from across Europe to explore innovative ways to strengthen youth participation, civic engagement, and advocacy.
 
Throughout the week, participants exchanged ideas and best practices on how to empower young people to become active citizens and confident changemakers. The program featured interactive sessions such as the Marketplace of Organizations, the Tool Fair on Youth Participation, and field visits to local initiatives including the Democracy School and the Welfare Region’s Youth Council.
 
S&G’s participants actively contributed to discussions on inclusive youth work, democratic involvement, and creative participation tools, representing the organization’s continuous commitment to promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable community engagement.
 
Beyond the workshops, the participants enjoyed the intercultural evening and Finnish night, which celebrated cultural diversity and built lasting international connections among youth workers from different countries.
