On Wednesday, February 5th, our volunteers went to Miss Margarita. They made one hundred sandwiches for UNHCR refugees. In this charitable event, they learned about refugees and the hardships they face. They also worked as a team and made 100 sandwiches for those in need.
Personal testimonies of our volunteers:
Angelo from Italia: ''Today we went to Miss Margherita and prepared a hundred sandwiches for the UNHCR refugees. It wasn't just preparing food, but we discovered, thanks to a chat with Margherita, the realities and critical issues that these people are forced to face. People not welcomed in their country and who are trying to build their own future. I wish them the best!''
Margherita from Italy: ''This morning Angelo and I went to Mrs. Margherita's house where we assembled about a hundred sandwiches for the UNHCR refugees. Afterwards we went to the shelter and distributed the sandwiches and the soup prepared by Mrs. Margherita. Margherita explained to us how the shelter works and what people have to do to be able to leave the country. It was interesting to listen to her words and understand how difficult it is for refugees to be able to change their lives.''
