The first day of activities for our project ‘Youth Green Deal’ was on 18 October 2024.
We started with a warm welcome, fun icebreakers and some great get-to-know-each-other activities! Team building exercises helped set the stage for what was going to be an unforgettable experience.
We also had the chance to learn more about the Erasmus+ Programme and how it empowers young people across Europe.
We’re just getting started and there’s so much more ahead of us on our journey of making.
DAY 2 We looked at key terms such as Environment, Climate, Climate Change and Global Warming – understanding where they differ and how they are connected.
In our ‘State of My Country’ session, participants shared powerful insights about the state of climate change in their own countries. The discussions were truly eye-opening!
We finished with a dynamic World Café session full of collaborative ideas and reflections on the challenges we face globally.
The evening was dedicated to the Intercultural Night, where curiosity and fun captivated the participants.
DAY 3 Day 3 of our Youth Exchange was all about active learning and adventure!
We used the Oxford debate model to challenge each other with strong arguments and sharpen our critical thinking skills on climate issues. The topic of the debate was:
'Teaching about the environment and climate change should be a compulsory subject in school, even if it means spending less time on other subjects.
DAY 4 On this day, we unleashed our competitive spirit with a fun and energetic treasure hunt!
Participants, divided into small teams, had to complete a long list of tasks, working as a team and interacting with the local people. Teamwork, strategy and lots of excitement made this an unforgettable experience!
They not only worked as a team, but also had the chance to interact with the local people and gather their ideas on climate change issues.
DAY 5
On the fifth day, participants were divided into small groups to prepare scenarios for upcoming podcasts. Each group is working hard to create engaging and effective content about climate change and is ready to spread awareness with their own voices!
Exciting things are coming - these amazing youth-led podcasts are ready!
