The Ankara Ethnography Museum, located in Turkey's capital, is dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Turkish people and various ethnic groups. Established in 1930, the museum features a diverse collection of artifacts, including traditional clothing, textiles, handicrafts, and household items, reflecting the daily lives and customs of different communities. The building itself, designed in a neoclassical style, adds to the cultural experience. The museum serves as an important resource for understanding Turkey's multifaceted identity and history.

Today we are visited both Etnografya and Resim Heykel Museums. In Etnografya there are numerous Turkish Islamic artefacts. This museum shows and teachs us how traditional Islamic Turks lived before. There are many places huge areas in that museum. Now let's see what our volunteers think about that tour:
Pablo:
The visit to both museums was very enriching as we were not only able to learn more about Ottoman history and culture, but also to admire numerous paintings that reflect the historical and cultural richness of Turkey. In addition, we were able to see works of art by artists from my own country, which was very interesting and refreshing. Without a doubt, it is a 100% recommendable visit.
Gianluca:
Today it was really informative and interesting to visit the Museum of Painting and Sculpture and the Ethnographic Museum. In particular, I found the part dedicated to Pablo Piacasso and many artists I did not know before very interesting.
Rabia:
We visited the Ethnography and Painting-Sculpture Museums in Ankara with our volunteer friends. We explored various historical artifacts and had the opportunity to closely examine famous artworks. This experience allowed us to share the beauty of Ankara with our foreign friends and create wonderful memories together.
Klaudia:
I loved that I had the opportunity to explore turkish culture. Art is a very important part of my life and getting to know some turkish artists was an enriching experience. The etnography museum was also interesting, since it introduced me to a lot of turkish history and culture throughout the years.

According to my observaiton, Today's trip was more meaningful than the ones I've traveled before. Because telling the our history and works to our volunteers, It helped me both improve myself and introduce my own country. This is wonderful experience.

It was interesting form me because it was the first time I visited museums about ottoman history. Moreover, paintings we saw in the Painting and Sculpture Museum were very different from what I’m used to see in European museums. It was enriching discoveries!
