Elf Start in Kokkola,Finland!

A journey for Christmas,Elf Start in Kokkola,Finland!
In summer of 2024 i had a chance to be a part of wonderful short-term ESC volunteering project in Villa Elba,Kokkola thanks to System & Generation Association.
The purpuse of the project was making elves by using trees to put on a road in forest called 'nature path'.We made some decorations from wood for children to play with and also birdhouses. We even compleated the task so quickly and had extra time.In that time we helped the staff when needed. There were 10 people from all over the world and all of us had a really good connection.Everyone improved in English.Completing the tasks with them was so fun and time passed quickly that we couldnt quite understand.Actually the teamwork, communication between us was so strong that the people in charge of us said we might be the best team they've worked with!
Learning new cultures, languages getting to know foreign people was a really good experience.Even the things you think is the same in all over the world is different and that is quite shocking. We explored some countries and cities near there with our group like Oulu,Rovaniemi,Helsinki, ect.I feel so lucky to meet with those people and experiencing Finland with them.Even now everyone is in their countries but we are still in touch.I love to spread our culture and people to see how welcome, friendly, respectfull Turkish people are.
This project was an eye opener for me.İ didn't know what i was capable of.I improved myself a lot within only 3 weeks. Now i am better at understanding people, solving conflict in a group, leading people and many more.My life literally changed during and after the project.
I am thankful to have really kind  'support person's by our side and again to this association for giving me chance to accomplish one of my dreams.
I hope everyone can be a part of this and taste the sprit.

My First Step in TADkindergartencinnah

Valeriia from Kyiv:  I liked this experience. Kindergarten looks so cute and children feel very comfortable and free here. We made a picture of the earth with children’s hands as a greeting to all the children of the world and then walked on the street. It was so interesting to communicate with them and to listen to their funny stories.
Gianculca from Napoli: My first day in kindergarden was very interesting , they showed me around the facility and were very kind in welcoming me and showing me the activities of the center, I am very curious to embark on this new experience and in being able to help out
Arwa from Tunis: My first step at tad preschool cinnah: during my first day at the preschool, I attended the science class with team Ruby (5 years old kids). I was a little nervous but the kids made it easier for me as they tried to interact with me, telling me their names, shaking my hand, asking me to sit and play with them. during their language class, they learned how to say hello in different languages, and the teacher asked me to teach them how to say hello in Tunisian. It was so much fun hearing kids from another country say hello to me in my native language. I'm looking forward to spending more time with them again.
Pablo from Elche: I am looking forward to putting my first step in TADkindergartencinnah on Thursday.

ERASMUS + TRAİNİNG COURSE

As part of this project, I participated in the Erasmus+ Project named “Outdoor for All,” which took place in Druogno (VB), Italy, from July 9 to 16, 2024. I had the opportunity to apply for this project through the System and Generation Association, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. This project aimed to explore the educational aspect of nature and use the outdoors as a genuine educational resource. In this context, we explored the educational aspects of outdoor activities, took advantage of opportunities to be in touch with nature, reinforced group and teamwork, experimented with new educational methods, and established strong communications with each other through idea exchanges. Thanks to this project, I am happy to have made friends from various countries and had the chance to practice my English and stay in touch with my new friends. At the same time, I believe that this program broadened my perspective on nature and new educational methods. I would like to extend my gratitude to the System and Generation Association for allowing me to collect all these wonderful memories and experiences, and I encourage you all to embark on one of these fantastic journeys.

Volunteers Unite to Support Refugee Families at Ankara Refugee Lunch Support Group

Today, I and our team from System&Generation were with Madam Margherita at the Ankara Refugee Lunch Support Group. There, we organized donations into care packages, and made sandwiches for the families waiting at the UNHCR. We first arrived at Madam Margherita's house and got to work making sandwiches. We were a harmonious sandwich-making machine. Everyone had a role: spreading butter, putting on cheese and salami, bagging the sandwiches. To me, one of the most beautiful parts was how a diverse group of people all contributed to this endeavor. People from Türkiye, Tunisia, Ukraine, Egypt, Bosnia, Morocco, Georgia, Taiwan and more all working together; it was surely an amazing experience. Afterwards, we went to the UNHCR for the best part. We gave all the people there their care packages, sandwiches and juice to go with it. We also gave the children there—who were obviously bored from waiting—toys to play with. Seeing their smiles was simply blissful. I can't wait to go back next week and do it all again.

Webinar on the Inclusion of Disabled Individuals in EU Projects

On August 8th, a webinar focusing on the inclusion of disabled individuals in European Union projects took place online. The event featured Mr. Musab Alperen Şafak from the Turkish National Agency as the guest speaker, with Ms. Elif Usta, Coordinator of Inclusion and Diversity, serving as the moderator. The discussion highlighted various strategies, challenges, and success stories related to the active participation of disabled people in EU-funded initiatives. The webinar was an important step toward promoting a more inclusive and diverse Europe.

As a volunteer and the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the System & Generation Association, I participated in the event to represent the organization, strengthen connections, and support the ongoing efforts to foster inclusivity within EU projects.

Volunteering in Prilep: An Unforgettable Experience

Hello everyone,

My name is Hatice. I had the opportunity to volunteer in Prilep, North Macedonia from February 8 to April 24. I’d like to share some insights about my experience. I graduated from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department and, before starting my master's program, I was very interested in cultural exchange programs. I was eager to participate in an ESC project, and I am incredibly grateful for the chance to have this experience. During my time in Prilep, I volunteered with the Youth Council of Prilep. My main responsibilities included writing articles for young people, organizing activities, and recording podcasts. Although I was not very active in the podcast section, we produced a lot of content in other areas. We explored the city with local youth, introduced our cultures, and made a lot of new connections. There were four of us volunteers, and each of us had a mentor to help us adapt easily. During this three-month period, I discovered many commonalities with Macedonian culture and visited several different cities, making this experience truly invaluable. Prilep is a small but warm city, and its people are very helpful. If you plan to volunteer during this period, I recommend bringing warm clothing as it can be quite cold until the second week of April. My only piece of advice is to be open to new cultures and meeting new people. I made friendships during this time that I hope to revisit and maintain for years to come.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to System and Generation, the sending organization, and the Youth Council of Prilep, the hosting organization, for making this experience possible.
