MY BOOTS ARE BEAUTIFUL - PARTNERSHIP

 

1. Project Title and Description:

This project is part of the creativity project “My Boots Are Beautiful”, which will be

developed in partnership with the European Network of Youth Centers based in Finland.

The aim of the project is to help young people who have not experienced war to

understand the difficulties and scars of refugees.

 

2. Aims and Objectives:

This project aims to broaden its scope by building partnerships that use art as a

therapeutic tool and a means of social inclusion for children victims of war. More than

just a project, “My Boots Are Beautiful” aims to establish youth-led workshops in youth

centers where young people can interact with child victims of war and help them heal

through creative expression;

Creativity Workshops: Conducting creativity workshops such as coloring books,

ceramics making and digital exhibition preparation.

Exhibition: The work of the young people will be transformed into an exhibition, thus

raising awareness in countries that have not experienced war.

Our aims and objectives with the Partnership project are to contribute to raising

awareness among young people, youth workers and those who come to the youth

centers through the multiplier and multiplier effect of the successfully implemented

project and its wider and more widespread implementation through ENYC within the

framework of the new projects we will prepare.

 

3. Background and Information Needed:

“My Boots Are Beautiful” project is an initiative that aims to highlight the power and

social impact of creativity among children. The project aims to sensitize children about

war and peace through art. With the participation of children from Bosnia and Turkey,

the project aims to develop their emotional expression and creative abilities and to draw

attention to children's rights and human rights. Children's drawings will be shared

globally through the campaign, thereby increasing social awareness and solidarity. The

project plans to promote social change and cultural understanding by contributing to

educational processes.

 

4. Target Audience:

The project directly targets high school and middle school youth. Indirectly, it targets

youth workers, young people and parents.

 

5. Timeline:

We plan to implement the project between October 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025.

 

6. Resources and Budget:

Resources needed for the project;

Transportation Expenses (hotel for 7 days)

Accommodation and subsistence expenses

Meeting organization and Implementation Expenses

Visibility Expenses

Resources: Visibility on ENYC and ALF Turkey website and S&G social media tools.

Budget support is requested from ALF for other expenses.

 

7. Stakeholders and Responsibilities:

Our partner in Finland will help us for the expansion of the project and will arrange the

youth centers.

 

8. Results and Expectations:

At the end of the Partnership project implementation it is expected to develop at least

three project ideas and proposals to different national or international donors. At least

two of them will be proposals under the Erasmus+ Program.

The main activities of the projects to be developed are as follows.

1-Ceramic materials (ceramic clay, shape sticks),

2- Coloring book (crayons, A4 paper, pencil, eraser, string, hole punch),

3-Digital exhibition.

The resulting artworks will be transformed into an exhibition and presented to a wide

audience, developing an in-depth understanding of refugee experiences through art.

This process aims to increase empathy and social awareness of young people.
