Youth workers for Environmental Rights -seminar Kokkola, Finland 17-22.3.2025

In a world where everyone’s well-being depends on the health of our environment, youth workers have a important role in shaping sustainable futures. This Erasmus+ seminar, "Youth Workers for Environmental Rights," invites youth professionals across Europe to engage in a exploration of environmental human rights. We’ll look at how these rights integral to life, health, food, water, and sanitation can be woven into international youth work and contribute to a more equitable, sustainable world.

Youth workers are uniquely positioned to inspire change, making environmental human rights a vital area of focus. This seminar will offer an experience, merging theory and practice to empower youth workers to integrate environmental human rights into their activities.

Through interactive discussions, experiental based nature  activities, and structured reflections, participants will gain insights into:

To explore the environmental Human Rights: Unpacking  the concept of environmental rights and exploring how  a safe, clean, and sustainable environment underpins  other fundamental human rights.

Youth Work & Environmental Justice: Examining our  responsibilities as youth workers in fostering  environmental stewardship, equity, and empowerment  within diverse communities.

Practical Integration of Nature-Based Learning: Engaging  in nature-based activities to experience how these can illustrate environmental rights, inspire youth, and nurture  eco-conscious mindsets.
