From 01.05.2023 to 06.05.2023, 6 students from Turkey went to Hungary within the scope of Erasmus+ Youth Program. They made presentation about environmental protection and sustainable fashion and listened to the presentations of other countries. Except presentations by countries, they cleaned a kindergarten yard, repainted the benches in the nursing home and collected garbage. This Erasmus project, which I volunteered for, created very good friendships and unforgettable memories except the projects we did there. We also made presentation about environmental protection and sustainable fashion and listened to the presentations of other countries.Except presentations by countries, we cleaned a kindergarten yard, repainted the benches in the nursing home and collected garbage. The feeling of helping people and  environment was good even though it was tiring to do these things.

Hello, I am Sude Naz Sultan Çinko. I went to Talentum (Hungary) with System&Generation for an Erasmus Youth Exchange. The topic was environmental protection and volunteering, which we did learn by experiencing. I think the topic was crucial since the environment has been our home.
We have done many things, such as painting elderly house benches, cleaning the garbage near the river Tizsa and gardening for the kindergarten, which taught us about volunteering. Also, we could make others happy and be happy.
There were plenty of workshops about sustainable fashion, public transportation, energy, and the economy, which taught us the different factors that affect the environment. Our workshop was about sustainable fashion, fast fashion, and its effects to the environment.
The best part of Erasmus, in my opinion, is meeting new people from different countries and cultures; learning about their country, their food, their traditions, and their dances is a remarkable venture. If you have a chance to go, never hesitate.
İmran Çiçekli, one of the participants, told us about his experiences: “That was my first time abroad and I didn’t know what to expect. It was definitely much better than what I’ve expected. Central European architecture was truly magnificent, people were so friendly and helpful, also the country was green and the people were so careful about this topic.”
He also has suggestions to young people: “You should definitely join every Erasmus+ projects you can do. While joining, you are not in your comfort zone, which makes you find creative solutions when you face a problem. In these projects you also contact to people who are from other countries, so you improve your foreign language skills and make new friends, too. My best suggestion is, if you are staying in a dorm, hotel or somewhere you can choose your roommates, you should make sure that everyone should be from another country if possible. The reasons are; if everyone is from different countries, their own language won't be the common one and everyone will speak a common foreign language like English or whatever the project’s language is. It also will help to create a cultural interaction.”
