We are very amazed and proud to share with you this brand-new guide, “Voices of The Future: A Guide to Student Parliaments“, that System and Generation has been co-author on. This guide has been made in collaboration with The Regional Youth Center Košice and The Vilkaviškio Atviras Jaunimo Centras, whom we collaborated with on the European Student Parliaments Project. With student voices becoming increasingly important in shaping education, this guide comes at a critical time, offering practical information for students, educators, and managers, who work to support and strengthen either school parliaments, student initiatives or representations. Drawing inspiration from successful practices in Lithuania, Slovakia, and Türkiye, it does not only offer the reader guidance on how to run effective student parliaments at all levels but also to discover proven methods for encouraging student participation, concrete tools for developing leadership skills, and solutions to common problems faced by student representative bodies. In addition, the guide offers educational materials and activities to develop basic leadership and democratic skills and advice for how to build stronger student parliaments. On behalf of the whole team, we hope that you will find our guide valuable and useful in creating a more participatory and democratic educational environment, crucial for supporting the youth – the voices of the future.
