On behalf of the System and Generation Association, we participated in the TOSCA (Training and Support for Organisations active in the volunteering Actions in the European Solidarity Corps) training course, which took place between March 30 and April 4, 2025, in Bar, Montenegro. The aim of our participation was to enhance our organizational capacity and contribute to the development of more effective and sustainable volunteering projects within the field of youth work.
This training, specifically designed for organizations involved in volunteering activities under the European Solidarity Corps, focused on capacity building, improving quality standards, and increasing the impact of youth-related work.
During the training, we actively engaged in various workshops that covered topics such as mentorship in volunteering projects, crisis management, youth empowerment, and intercultural learning. We also had the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with representatives from organizations across Europe, laying the groundwork for potential future partnerships and projects. Particular emphasis was placed on themes such as digital literacy, environmental awareness, and social inclusion, which opened the door to promising collaborations. In addition, System and Generation had the chance to present its past and ongoing projects, its efforts to empower young people, and its international collaborations further strengthening the visibility of our organization in the European youth sector.
Thanks to this training, we acquired new methodologies to improve the quality of our volunteering projects under the European Solidarity Corps, and we gained valuable insights into mentoring strategies, support mechanisms, and methods for creating wider impact. Our participation also significantly contributed to the expansion of S&G’s international cooperation network and the development of our institutional capacity.
In conclusion, the TOSCA training was highly fruitful in terms of strengthening our institutional capacity, enhancing the impact of our volunteering projects, and establishing sustainable collaborations with youth organizations across Europe on behalf of S&G. Our participation was not merely a representation, but an investment that will generate long-term impact. Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to System and Generation and our National Agency for providing us with this valuable opportunity.
