I was born in Italy and lucky enough to be able to travel, volunteer, work and live in various countries.
Throughout this walk of life I often found myself fascinated by what I learned about Turkey, especially thanks to many amazing Turkish friends who helped me to unveil the beautiful and humane warmness of this land.
When I am learning about the intriguing history and complex heritage of Turkey, through its art, literature, music, food, language and its people, it feels like I am learning something about the mysterious journey of humanity as a whole. So when I was offered the opportunity of a volunteering program in Ankara, I took it immediately. And even if I am only at the start of this journey, I have a strong feeling this will be an experience I’ll never forget!
