As the System and Generation family, we continue to support our youth in crossing borders with the experiences they gain in the international arena. Our volunteer, who will represent our association in the long-term European Solidarity Corps (ESC) "Rise II" project taking place in Samsun, has successfully completed the last official step before the mobility.
Our volunteer participated in the ESC Pre-Departure Training organized by the Turkish National Agency in Samsun between July 23-25, 2026. This intensive and productive three-day program aims to prepare volunteers fully for life in the host country and project processes.
During the training, which centered on non-formal education methods, our volunteer received a comprehensive orientation about expectations from the ESC program, participant rights and responsibilities, and the project process. In the sessions, basic practical information such as insurance, visa procedures, and adaptation to the host country were discussed, as well as critical topics like crisis management and Youthpass certificate processes. The topics in this training did not remain strictly theoretical; they were reinforced practically through role-plays and interactive group work.
The training also offered a unique networking opportunity. Our volunteer had the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other ESC volunteers who will participate in different projects across Europe this year, and to expand their solidarity network with young people coming from different parts of Turkiye.
