My name is Gregory Giammusso, I’m 25 years old and I come from Serradifalco - a small town in the hearth of Sicily.
I applied for this project because I was the right person for this project, thanks to my personality, confidence and generosity.
I studied at the university of Catania and in 2019 I took part in the Erasmus+ initiative, in Kiev.
I am really interested in this kind of projects because I was one of the organizers of the Summer Center from 2010 to 2016. During this period I worked with children to help and playing together with fun and creative activities.
The volunteering work requires sacrifices, but it also gives a lesson of life to whom practices it.
Improving others’ people life makes your fulfilled. It is the occasion to put oneself at the service of more unlucky people, where a smile may cheer up and clear the day of people with problems. There is no need to do a lot, all it takes is listening, being nearby, keeping company, in short simply to make them feel our presence.
What we all need, in the end, is love, affection, some attention and care a bit more for people with special needs so that they do not feel abandoned at any times. I’m an independent and open minded person, I am sociable, cheerful and eager to learn from others experience and knowledge.
